Howdy! I'm the hands and heart behind the hives.
People often ask me what my favorite part of beekeeping is, expecting me to say the sweet honey. But for me, it’s always been the bees themselves. They are absolutely fascinating creatures with incredible intelligence and a beautiful sense of community.
Being a beekeeper gives me the opportunity to be a passionate steward of the earth. I work to support the vital, life-sustaining role bees play in our global ecosystem, marveling at the intricate biology that drives their complex colony. The hive is a superorganism, a masterclass in natural geometry and biological communication. Understanding their complex biology allows me to manage the colony with absolute respect, never disrupting their natural cycle.
My mission is to give these vital pollinators a safe bee space to thrive while sharing their wonders with you.
Ezekiel Aloysius
Protector of Colonies
I’m Ezekiel Aloysius, but you can just call me Ezzie.
I'm the fluffy guardian and gentle giant around here!
I bring my majestic presence to the apiary yard to make sure our busy little bees can buzz in perfect, peaceful harmony.
Acting as your eco-friendly security system, I patrol the perimeter keeping honey thieves such as skunks away from the hives. I promise I am always gentle and use a patient stride so I never disturb the delicate rhythm of our pollinating colonies.
When I’m not on hive-duty, I also love being the head of the Visitor Welcoming Committee. I'll make sure every single guest is happily greeted with lots of tail wagging!

Apprentice Beekeeper
The resident brain (and apprentice!) at Frequency Farms.
While I love the sweet rewards of the harvest, my true passion is diving into the intricate world of bee biology. Every frame is a puzzle, and I’m always studying the incredible science that keeps the hive thriving.
There is so much beautiful mystery in all of God's creatures, and I feel so lucky to learn from these tiny, buzzing masterminds every single day.

As a family farm, we manage our personal and leased hives the old fashioned way - with hands-on respect for the bees, the earth, and God, while bringing fresh perspectives and modern practices to the art, science, and tradition of beekeeping.
